The cultural show of China's Inner Mongolia Artist Troupe opened in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka on Monday.
At the inaugural ceremony, Bangladeshi State Minister for Cultural Affairs Promode Mankin said China and Bangladesh enjoy warm and friendly relations in many fields including culture, health, science and economy. He hoped the relations between the two countries would be strengthened in the future.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Zhang Xianyi said for his part that cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Bangladesh have played a significant role in promoting people to people friendship.
"In the last few years, we have maintained high frequency of exchange of visits in art, education, sports, religion and media," he said.
Zhang hoped the performances by the Inner Mongolia Artist Troupe will bring new image and surprise to the audiences in Bangladesh.
The 23-member artist troupe performed Inner Mongolia traditional dance, songs, acrobatics at the inaugural show and won big applause from hundreds of audiences.
Jalaluddin, secretary general of Bangladesh-China Friendship Association, said after watching the show, "It is really fantastic. I hope the two countries will have more cultural exchanges."
At the invitation of the Bangladeshi Cultural Ministry, the Inner Mongolia Artist Troupe arrived in Bangladesh on Sept. 25 for a 7-day visit. They will give three shows in Bangladesh, including2 shows in Dhaka and one in southeastern Chittagong city, the second largest city of the country.
