Popular Chinese mainland actor Ge You will preside over the jury of the inaugural Macao International Film Festival scheduled to open on December 26, festival organizer has announced.

Ge, a familiar face in Chinese box-office hits, is known for such films as "The Dream Factory," "Cell Phone" and "If You Are the One."

The First Annual Macao International Film Festival will run through January 2. It will be the first international film event ever held in Macao.

Awards will include six categories in feature film, screenplay, director, actor, actress and newcomer.

Filmmakers worldwide are invited to submit their works before November 15.
