The China Guardian's autumn sale will be held from tomorrow to next Monday at Beijing International Hotel.
Over 6,000 pieces of art and other collectibles divided in 17 categories will go under the hammer.
Highlights include calligraphic works by masters of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, such as Zhu Xi, Song Ke and Dong Qichang, and ink painting masterpieces by modern masters Fu Baoshi, Huang Binhong and Qi Baishi, besides jadeware and porcelain works once used by Qing emperor Qianlong (1711-99).
Other stellar items include cultural relics such as lithographic prints, woodblock prints, vintage photos, commemorative badges, gold medals, tickets, and official invitations, which vividly illustrate China's early participation in the World Expo from 1851-1937.
