China's film and television industry is embracing its best time in recent years, she said. She hopes to get more efficient services from a professional team and it's "fate" that connected her with Huayi.

"I'm happy that I can do something I like with people I like," she said.

The actress said she had no idea about the details like the paycheck, work plan or stock dividends.

"Our contract doesn't specify everything," she said, "this will give both of us more freedom."

Huayi Bros. currently represents two of China's leading actresses, Zhou Xun and Li Bingbing, and there have long been media speculations on whose status is superior inside the company. The joining of Xu Qing was considered another contestant emerged, but she said she didn't intend to vie for the throne of queen.

"Both of them are good actresses. (For me,) the most important thing is my works," she said.

Xu Qing's latest movie was "Jian Guo Da Ye", or "The Founding of a Republic", in which she played China's former vice president Soong Ching-ling.

Huayi Brothers Media Co Ltd, the largest movie studio in China, debuted on China's ChiNext Board on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on November 1st and became one of the hottest stocks on its first day of trading.
