Tired of movies, music or skiing in this chilly Beijing winter?

How about packing all three together?

The second The North Face Film and Music on snow will be held on January 16 at the Jundushan Skiing Resort in the Changping district in Beijing, bringing the audience a unique experience of watching films, listening to music bands and skiing at the same time.

A movie made by the renowned ski film producer Teton Gravity Research will be screened during the festival. However, the biggest appeal of the festival is expected to be the music performances.

The highlights include a performance by Tang Dynasty, an ethnic-art rock and prog-metal band that is often credited as being the first heavy metal band in China.

Brain Failure, arguably China's top punk band and the popular rap group Crazy 4 will also join the show. The line-up also includes rising bands - Saving Molly, Recycle, The Ghost Spardac and Alt Senior.

The inaugural edition of the festival was held in Nanshan Skiing Resort, attracting a crowd of more than 2,000 people.
