Holidays are winding down, but if you're loathe to let go of the holiday mood you can catch the last event in a two-week winter festival this Friday.
Organized by the students of the Sino-British College, the Winter Warmer Festival features creative cultural and culinary events in downtown Shanghai. All ticket proceeds go to charity.
This Friday evening the L'Ensemble Music and Art Fair, a creative music and arts fair, wraps up the series of events spanning Christmas and New Year's.
It will be held in the college library on Fuxing Road M.

The fair combines live music with 10 vendors selling unique, handcrafted items such as jewelry, decorations and clothing. Visitors are also invited to unleash their artistic talents in a painting contest. They will be provided with their own white, wooden rabbit to decorate.
"We were inspired by the venue - the school library which is a century-old building. It reminded us of the flea market at 1933 - another renovated historical building where handicrafts are sold," says Yang Yanlin, a project organizer and a third-year student at the Sino-British College.
The aim is to combine it with live music that appeals to young people, such as folk and acoustic performances, and rock and roll.
The 10 vendors are all young, independent sellers with innovative products. Local musicians, both Chinese and foreign, will perform. They include a percussionist who supported Ricky Martin on his Shanghai tour.
Tickets are 20 yuan (US$2.93), which goes toward the environmental charity Roots & Shoots.
The fair has an environmental theme and some folk musicians will sing about environmental issues, says Yang.
Toward the end of the day there will be an open stage where all participants are invited to perform their own music. Organizers hope it will turn into a bit of a party by the end of the evening.
The organizers are a group of eight third-year students at the college. Like all organizers of the events in the Winter Warmer Festival, they are events management students. Brainstorming, organizing and staging the event for the past school term was part of their course work.
The festival included a baking culture festival, fashion show, tea party and even a ghost house adventure. All proceeds went to different charities in Shanghai.
