True Legend has released a set of stills, featuring Chiu Man-Cheuk's role of martial arts legend Su Can having a heated duel with Andy On's villain role by the side of the phenomenal Hukou Waterfalls of the Yellow River.
Some accompanying behind the scenes looks at the shooting is breathtaking, giving you a real feeling of the thrills and danger on set.
Reportedly, the crew seized a time when the waterfall floods, which only happens a few days a year, to film the fighting scene.
True Legend is a biopic of 19th century martial arts master Su Can, or Su Qi-Er, starring Hong Kong actor Chiu Man-Cheuk, American Chinese actor and martial artist Andy On, mando-pop superstar Jay Chou and actress Zhou Xun.
The popular figure of 'Su Qi-er' has been portrayed by many of the A-list actors including comedian Stephen Chow, martial artist Donnie Yen, and screen heavyweight Chow Yun-fat in the past two decades. Whether Chiu Man-Cheuk's update will live up to expectations on this stumbling drunk legend is yet to be seen.
However, director Yuen Woo-ping, hailed as a top martial-arts choreographer, is set to bring a double dose of blockbusterism by making this martial arts film a 3D release.
The film will land in cinemas across China on Feb. 9.
