Lady Gaga, Lily Allen lead 2010 BRITs nominations

Lady Gaga, Lily Allen and Florence & The Machine earned three nominations each to dominate the upcoming 2010 BRIT Music Awards.

Lady GaGa is nominated for International Female Solo Artist, International Album and International Breakthrough Act. In the latest category, she is up against Animal Collective, Daniel Merriweather, Empire of the Sun and Taylor Swift.

"The Fear" singer Lily Allen is among the contenders for British Female Solo Artist, MasterCard British Album and British Single.

Florence Welch's act is up for British Female Solo Artist, British Breakthrough Act and British Album.

British boy band sensation JLS are up against Pixie Lott and Florence & The Machine in British Breakthrough Act. They get two other nods for British Group and British Single.

Robbie Williams will be handed with Outstanding Contribution to Music Award and is scheduled to close the show with a medley of his hit singles.

And, to mark the 30th anniversary of the awards, there will be a special fight for the best BRITs performance ever. Among those nominated are: Bros, The Who, Bee Gees, Coldplay, Michael Jackson, Paul MCCartney, Spice Girls and Take That.

The 2010 BRIT Awards will be held on February 16 at London's Earls Court.
