Beijing TV will broadcast the premiere of True Legend, the first 3D kungfu film in China on Sunday.

Directed by Yuen Woo-ping, the choreographer of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The Matrix series, the film tells of the ups and downs of a legendary ancient kungfu master named Su Can.

Yuen and the film's lead actor, Zhao Wenzhuo, a former champion of many national kungfu contests, will share their understanding of martial arts with kungfu lovers, at the premiere.

Taiwan pop singer Jay Chou plays "the god of kung fu" who tutors Su Can. Having directed a love film before, Chou says he may direct a film on the kungfu tutor and invite Yuen as the choreographer. The film will hit theaters on Feb 9.
