The 3D-powered Tim Burton and Johnny Depp tea party "Alice in Wonderland" has successfully continued its winning streak, nabbing 62 million dollars in ticket receipts as the second weekend in theater winds up, the North America box office authority said Sunday.

The 3D fairy tale from the Disney has seen a sizably 46.6 percent drop of gross this weekend. However, it still took in a total of 208.6 million dollars in 10 days in Canada and the United States, the North America box office authority projected. The film is expected to rake in a phenomenal sum of 300 million dollars real soon.

Three smaller budget films opened this weekend in movie theaters in North America, but with unsteady results and below the average expectations.

The Iraq action drama "Green Zone" from the Universal Pictures, starring Matt Demon, played at 3,000-strong theaters and raked in only 14.5 million dollars worth of tickets, or 4 million dollars less than the modest expectations for the 100 million dollars flick. Analysts believed the war movie continues the trend of low box-office returns for dramas set in Iraq and the Middle East, following such commercial flops like "The Kingdom" and "Body of Lies."

Opening in third place is Paramount's hilarious romantic comedy "She's Out of My League," screened at 2,956 theaters and took in 9. 6 million dollars.

Summit Entertainment's family drama "Remember Me," showing at merely 2,212 theaters across North America, fetched only 8.3 million dollars. It drew a mostly female audience thanks in large part to "Twilight" star Rob Pattinson.

"Shutter Island", the old guard for four weeks, has seen its gross declined by 38.5 percent this weekend, garnering 8.14 million dollars, with 108 million dollars in total.
