A graduate of the vocal department of the People's Liberation Army Institute of Arts, and a singer in her early years, Qian turned to painting and became a disciple of Huang Yongyu.
BFAA President Wang Mingming said Qian's paintings revealed the free thoughts and deep emotions of the artist through her bold colors and freehand brushes.
She began the paintings in 2002, developed them further in 2007, and largely completed the arrangement in 2008.
Vice Chairman of the China Artists Association Feng Yuan said Qian's works are replete with vivid imagination.
"Leafing through them, even the most experienced observer who is accustomed to viewing concrete realism finds it hard to neglect what is manifested through the work – the smell of spring, the message of love, the vigor of life, the rhythm of nature, and even a beautiful voice, as if from heaven," Feng said.
The exhibition is sponsored by the art committee of China Artists Association and the Beijing Cultural Development Foundation.
