What's the similarity between the 2010 World Cup semifinalist Spain and the Chinese movie "Let the Bullets Fly"? Both of their squads are making a splash.

Amidst the ongoing World Cup fever, "Let the Bullets Fly" producers have released a series of photos featuring football-playing cartoon images of the movie's 11 lead actors, each echoing a player in the Spanish team.

Jiang Wen, the movie's director who is also among the cast, is compared to captain and goalkeeper Iker Casillas. "They are both talented leaders," says a press release for the movie.

Chow Yun-Fat, the biggest star in the cast, draws comparison to midfielder Xavi Hernandez. "Chow to the movie is like Xavi to Spain," the press release says.

The cartoons also juxtapose actor Ge You to midfielder Sergio Busquets, and Chen Kun to forward Fernando Torres.

The male-dominated "Let the Bullets Fly" is billed as a Chinese equivalent to "Ocean's Eleven". The action-comedy revolves around a gang in the early 20th century. Its star-heavy lineup led by Jiang Wen, Chow Yun-Fat, and Ge You has been attracting intense media coverage.

The movie is set for release later this year.
