Starring Barbie Hsu and Richie Jen, the upcoming romantic comedy "Long Feng Dian" will hit cinemas on August 19, sina.com.cn reports.

The story is adapted from traditional and classical Chinese repertoire "You Long Xi Feng". During the Ming dynasty, then-emperor Zhengde was traveling to the south of China, when he encountered a woman named Li Fengjie and fell in love with her.

In the film, however, Li Fengjie (Barbie Hsu) has been changed into a beautiful but sassy boss. She often uses her rattan to teach the emperor (Richie Jen) while he is disguised as a waiter in her shop.

Following another comedy "Flirting Scholar 2", it is the second film by producer Jimmy Heung since he decided to enter the film market of the Chinese mainland. "One phrase I use to summarize this summer's film market is 'tragicomic'," said Heung. "The champion of the box office will be 'Aftershock'. I expect 'Flirting Scholar 2' and 'Long Feng Dian' will be able to compete for second and third place."

It is directed by Hong Kong director Chung Shu Kai, who is good at directing TV dramas produced by TVB (Hong Kong's biggest television broadcaster). In recent years, he has been handling the direction of films.

Film "Long Feng Dian" belongs to brothers Charles and Jimmy Heung's project "5510", which plans to spend 500 million RMB over 5 years on 10 films.
