A press conference for the film "Hai Shen 003" ("Poseidon 003") has been held in Beijing to announce that the movie would start filming in September, Sina.com.cn reports.

Cast members, including Vincent Chiao, Jiang Xiaohan and Gao Ming, attended the event.

Based on a real-life story, "Hai Shen 003" is about protecting sea turtles. The plot follows a university graduate named Lin Hai (Vincent Chiao) who embarks on a career to protect the turtles. He spends 15 years inventing an implantable sea turtle microchip detector called "Poseidon 003". It is well-received internationally and attracts the attention of many scientists from marine animal protection organizations. But an international criminal group attempts to get hold of the new technology and bribes an overseas Chinese named Tilapia who poses as the president of a multinational company so he can steal state secrets while doing public charity work. In the meantime, Lin's fiancée (Jiang Xiaohan) gets caught up in the action as well.

The film will be shot at the National Gangkou Sea Turtle Reserve, a four-square-kilometer reserve in Guangdong Province along the coast of the South China Sea.
