Fox television said yesterday it was renewing "The Simpsons" for a 23rd season, Reuters reports. The show is already the longest-running comedy on U.S. television. It has won 27 Emmy awards since they began lampooning American culture in 1989. Homer Simpson's annoyed grunt "D'Oh!" has entered the Oxford English Dictionary. The renewal for another TV season will bring the total episodes for the series to 515, Fox said.
