China's first 3-D animated film, Little Big Panda (Xiong Mao Zong Dong Yuan), will be released in cinemas on February 3. Director Greg Manwaring said in a video: "This film has all the ingredients for the American audience. It got a great story to tell."

The story of Little Big Panda is set in a mountainous area in China. The ancestors of "Panda" are trying to find a new panda to fulfill the task of saving the pandas. A little panda is chosen by them who will be the lifesaver of the whole group.

The total production costs of the film reached 350 million yuan (about US$51.5 million). It's the most expensive cartoon film in China up to now. Many renowned Chinese hosts, such as Zhao Zhongxiang, Huang Jianxiang, He Jiong and Xie Na, have been invited to lend their voices to the cartoon characters.
