Chinese film "Buddha Mountain" ("Guanyin Shan"), which helped Fan Bingbing win the best actress award at last year's Tokyo Film Festival, will open in theaters in March, Sina.com.cn reports.

Starring Sylvia Chang and Fan Bingbing, the film was nominated for several awards at the 23rd Tokyo Film Festival and the 47th Golden Horse Awards.

Sylvia Chang acts as a retired Peking opera singer, who rent her house to three young people, played by Fan Bingbing, Chen Po-Lin, and Fei Long. After living together for some time, they influence and change each other's lives.

Many star-studded films are going to be released in January and February, such as "Shaolin" and "What Women Want". Analysts say March will be a good time for films to have a performance at the box office.
