Leon Lai, Zhang Hanyu invited for Banquet

Daniel Lee's upcoming film about a well-known banquet in Chinese history will feature Leon Lai, Zhang Hanyu, Anthony Wong and Jordan Chan, a producer has said.
Song Guangcheng, whose company Starlight International is the investor of "White Vengeance" ("Hongmen Yan"), told Sohu.com that the four actors have signed on to play, but didn't mention their characters.

The producer said three more lead actors would be announced soon, and filming will start this month.
Hongmen Yan, also known as the Banquet of Hongmen, refers to a feast in 206 B.C. attended by warring generals Xiang Yu and Liu Bang. Over dinner, Xiang and his strategists planned to assassinate Liu, whom Xiang considered a rival. Liu escaped and eventually defeated Xiang and established the Han Dynasty in 202 B.C.
The historical event is also the subject of Lu Chuan's new film, "The Last Supper". In Lu's film that began production last month, Daniel Wu plays Xiang Yu, and Liu Ye acts as Liu Bang.
