Int'l children's film festival closes in east China

An international children's film festival closed Saturday evening in east China's Jiangsu Province.

More than 60 movies from 22 countries and regions attended the 11th China International Children's Festival held in the city of Jiangyin.

At the five-day event, 10 awards have gone to movies and performers from Russia, Germany, Argentina, the United States, Finland, Hungary and China.

Further, "Niko and the way to the star" from Finland, "The crocodiles" from Germany, and Zhang Zhuang from China-made "Kung Fu kids" have won children's favorite cartoon, movie and child actor, selected by a jury of 230 local children.

Initiated in 1989, the biennial festival has attracted 190 movies from the world to attend.
