The Cranberries, one of Ireland's best-selling rock bands of all time, will visit China with three shows later this month.
The band will perform in Shanghai on July 26, and in Beijing on July 28, according to the shows' Chinese organizer, Gehua Live Nation. It will also perform in Taipei on July 30.
Ticket-selling has already begun for the Taipei gig, while the tickets to the Beijing and Shanghai shows will be made available in a few days, the organizer said on Tuesday, July 5.
The Cranberries, formed in 1989, are often mentioned alongside U2 as some of the most successful Irish rock acts. The band has sold at least 50 million records, making it one of the best-selling Irish rock bands of all time.
It ranks at number 5 on a list of The Most Standout Irish Acts of All Time, which the organization PRS for Music produced last year based on a survey. The top 4 are U2, Westlife, Van Morrison and Boyzone.
Over two decades, The Cranberries have changed their lineup, and have been on hiatus at times. The current lineup consists of lead vocalist Dolores O'Riordan, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan and drummer Fergal Lawler. Their sixth studio album, "Roses", is due for release later this year.
