Chinese fantasy film "Mural" ("Hua Bi") is set to hit silver screens on September 29.

Directed by Gordon Chan, the film is now in the post-production stage.

Adapted from the renowned ghost novel "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio", the project features newly-wed couple Deng Chao and Sun Li.

They will sing an interpretation of the film's theme song together.

Reportedly, director Chan is working with famous Japanese composer Ikuro Fujiwara to complete the music score in Japan.

They once joined hands for a film Chan directed in 2008, entitled "Painted Skin".

The theme song Ikuro Fujiwara composed for the film "Painted Skin", entitled "Hua Xin", won the Best Original Film Song award at the 28th Hong Kong Film Awards.
