Superstar Andy Lau has confirmed his attendance at the Golden Horse Award on November 26 in Taiwan, tom.com reports.

Lau has been nominated for the Best Actor award for his performance in the film "A Simple Life." He will be up against actors Eddie Peng, Ge You and Wang Qianyuan.

Lau plans to attend the awards ceremony with Deanie Yip, the lead actress in the film who is also his godmother. She has commanded the attention of the press ever since she won the Best Actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.

Adapted from a true story that occurred in Hong Kong, "A Simple Life" is about a maidservant who develops a very precious and touching relationship with the son of the family for whom she works.

Lau previously won the Best Actor award at the 41th Golden Horse Awards for "Infernal Affairs 3: End Inferno." He is now shooting the film "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains" with model-turned-actress Lin Chi-ling.
