The second Chinese actress in 'Cloud Atlas' unveiled

As renowned Chinese actress Ju Ju put a photo she took with Korean star Du-na Bae onto her microblog, rumors of her involvement in the science fiction blockbuster 'Cloud Atlas' were finally confirmed, meaning she is the second Chinese A-lister after Zhou Xun, mtime.com reports.

Adapted from the novel of the same name written by English author David Mitchell, the film will be directed by a trio consisting of celebrated German director Tom Tykwer who once made "Run Lora Run" and "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer", as well as Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski, the directors of "The Matrix".

The film boasts an all-star cast including Tom Hanks, Hugo Weaving, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent , Hugh Grant and Korean star Du-na Bae and Chinese actress Zhou Xun.

Ju Ju made a name for herself by the identity of hostess of MTV channel, and in recent years, she has been active in the areas of film and television, fashion and music. These days she is mainly known for her films, having starred in five films, including "The Man with the Iron Fist" led by Oscar winner Russell Crowe, and "New Yorker @ Shanghai" which starred Daniel Henney.

The investment in the film "Cloud Atlas" is believed to be around 100 million dollars.
