According to EntGroup's "China Film Industry Report 2011", in terms of marketing effects, Internet movie ranking, in-cinema posters and trailers, and TV commercials are three most effective ways to reach the audience. Publicity from print media is also considered a useful marketing means. However, ads on public transportation and outdoor ads are not considered helpful for marketing.

Professional movie websites, video websites and portal sites are the most used websites for the audience to find film information. Over 40% of the audience opted for the three types of websites. They are the most important channels for film marketing on the Internet.

80% of the audience chooses Sina Weibo as the main microblogging website for film promotion. Tencent and Sohu Weibo come second. Although being a Internet media form, Weibo has rapidly developed into one of the most important Internet media for film marketing.

With 80% of the audience voting for the website, M1905.com becomes the most visited movie-themed website. Mtime.com comes second, with more than 50% of the audience's support.

Youku.com. Tudou.com, Xunlei Kankan.com and Ku6.com are the most frequently visited video sites in China, with each taking more than 50% of the votes. Youku stands as the most visited video site with more than 80% of users 'votes.
