The makers of the romance movie "Dear Enemy" held a press conference to highlight its premiere in Beijing, December 18th. Director and lead actress Xu Jinglei, along with other stars including Stanley Huang, Gigi Leung, Christy Chung and and Aarif Lee made their appearances at the event, mtime.com reports.

Xu Jinglei's showbiz friends also made appearances including Jia Zhangke, Eva Huang, Gong Beibi, and Zheng Jun.

Most Spring Festival movies tend to be sentimental, but "Dear Enemy" takes the route of fashion and romance, giving it a lot of entertainment punch for the Chinese New Year holiday.

"Actually both professions and love can be taken as a kind of investment, that no one wants to toss away if the two things could rise in value," Xu stated. "Our lives haven't been easy in recent years, so except for plot conflicts that are necessary for entertainment and suspense, the movie is meant to help audiences relax and have fun."

The film is slated to be screened on December 23.
