The horror film "Blood Stained Shoes", which boasts a strong cast, has been kept under wraps, hidden from the media ever since filming was completed.

A collection of still photos featuring the lead actress was recently released to the press. In the photos, Ruby Lin, donned in a blood-red cheongsam and fixed with a lifeless stare, conveys the horror genre perfectly with bone-chilling success. The image presented is far removed from that which Lin has previously portrayed in other works.

Set in the 1930s, the film tells the tale of a series of strange murders revolving around a pair of embroidered shoes.

Directed by Yip Wai-man and penned by Manfred Wong, the project also stars Kara Hui, Monica Mok, Michael Tong, and Xing Minshan.

The film is scheduled for release in March, 2012.
