Mandopop sensation Lee-Hom Wang will hold a solo concert at the National Stadium, also known as the "Bird's Nest," in April, the Beijing News reports.

At a press conference in Beijing on Tuesday, Lee-Hom said his Beijing concert on April 14 would be the first stop of his "Music-Man II" World Tour.

The singer, who was born in the Year of Dragon, said the show would feature dragons to coincide with the current Chinese Year of Dragon and include Taiko drum performances by hundreds of artists as well as a folk music show.

The concert will mark the first time for a solo pop concert to be staged at the Bird's Nest, the venue that hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Olympic Games. Lee-Hom said he felt pressed to fill the 90,000 seats in the stadium, but would turn the pressure into a motivating force.

The Chinese-American singer-songwriter plays a range of modern and traditional instruments and has established a diversified sound blending R&B, hip-hop, pop, rock and Chinese folk music.

His global music tour in 2012 will take him to other Chinese cities, including Taiyuan, Guangzhou, Nanning and Wuhan.
