Director Wang Xiaoshuai's latest film "11 Flowers" will compete in two award categories at the 6th Asian Film Awards (AFA) during the Hong Kong International Film Festival to be held at the end of March, Qq.com reports.

"11 Flowers" will vie for the Best Editing and Best Supporting Actress awards.

"11 Flowers" is the first Sino-French film project since China and France signed the Sino-French Film Cooperation Agreement last year. Half of the staff working on the film is from France. Nelly Quetierr, whose credits include "Les Amants du Pont-Neuf," has been nominated for the Best Editing award at the AFA.

Actress Yan Ni, who gained popularity in the TV series "My Own Swordsman" in 2006 and is familiar to audiences for her comedic images, is up for the Best Supporting Actress award. "11 Flowers" is her first art film.

Previous media reports said "11 Flowers" would debut nationwide on May 11. Those who have already purchased tickets to the Hong Kong Film Festival, where "11 Flowers" will be screened, will have a chance to preview the movie.
