Actress Ali Cobrin is set join Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Chris Klein in "American Reunion," the latest installment in the "American Pie" franchise.

"American Reunion" sees all the characters from "American Pie" coming home to Michigan for their 10th high school reunion.

Cobrin plays Kara - the girl next door that main character Jim used to babysit for when he was younger.

She says it wasn't easy landing the part.

"It was a really hard role to get. They actually did a national search and people were submitting YouTube videos for months and I auditioned so many times and I had so many callbacks and so many meetings and I felt like I spent a couple weeks at Universal fighting for this job and it was worth it," said Cobrin.

Alyson Hannigan, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Mena Suvari, Tara Reid, Shannon Elizabeth, Eugene Levy and Jennifer Coolidge are all reprising their roles from the original film.

"American Reunion" the fourth installment in the franchise opens in the US on April 6.
