The art-house film "11 Flowers" has finally set its release date for May 11th. In the run up to its release, a promotional poster featuring the main character in the movie was unveiled today, mtime.com reports.

The movie is the latest project of director Wang Xiaoshuai. Yesterday, the movie was at the Hong Kong Film Festival and the London Asian Film Festival.

Wang has been always good at telling harrowing stories of youth. "11 Flowers" is similar to his previous works "Shanghai Dreams" and "Beijing Bicycle". The film revolves around a young boy who rediscovers his beliefs after coming across the cruel reality of a murder.

The movie is set in the 1970s, and Wang is aimed at representing the loss of childhood innocence with what is sure to be an art-house success.
