Hollywood's superhero epic, "The Avengers", will be presented at the 2nd Beijing International Film Festival next month.

The 3D blockbuster from Marvel Studios will make its Asian Premiere during the festival, and "Mission: Impossible 4 " star Jeremy Renner will be gracing the red carpet.

Written and directed by Joss Whedon, the movie features iconic heroes like Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and the Black Widow. The "Avengers" team up to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.

The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and Renner. It will hit the big screen in May.

Besides "The Avengers", the Beijing International Film Festival will present more than 200 masterworks, which include Oscar winner "Hugo" and Gold Palm winner "The Tree of Life".

The event has also already attracted the attentions of "Titanic" and "Avatar" director James Cameron and Keanu Reeves, star of "The Matrix".

The 2nd Beijing Film Festival will be held between April 23 and 28.
