A special screening of "The Sword Identity" has been held as part of the nineteenth Beijing College Student Film Festival.

Starring Yu Chenghui, Song Yang and Zhao Yuanyuan, the kung-fu film is the directorial debut of Xu Haifeng, who also wrote the script.

The movie tells the story of a swordsman who hopes to establish the use of Japanese swords in the officially authorized school of combat in China.

Xu was nominated for Best New Director and Best Adapted Screenplay at the 2011 Taiwan Golden Horse Awards for "The Sword Identity."

The director is reportedly working on a new project which is now in the post production stages.
