Crown Prince H.E. Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chief of the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Bureau, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair at 10:00 AM local time, Mar. 28. As the only delegation from China, CIPG presented 435 kinds of books (64% new books, 83% foreign books) mainly in English and Arabic. The books introduced topics on contemporary China, Chinese culture, Chinese teaching and children's books.

The wife of the Chinese ambassador to the UAE visited CIPG's pavilion on behalf of her husband. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, talked with booth staff and received an Arabic-version of Why and How the CPC Works in China, published by CIPG.

More than 900 publishers from 54 countries and regions are taking part in the exhibition, which was established in 1991 and is sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Cultural Heritage Committee. The exhibition has become one of the most important international book fairs in the Middle East.
