2nd Sino-French Film Festival to open in May

The 2nd Sino-French Film Festival will be held from May 14 to June 12 with 10 new Chinese films and 4 classic animation pictures at 7 cities in France, qq.com reports.

The organizing committee invited Chinese actress Gong Li, French actor Alain Delon and French renowned female director Anne Fontaine as the event's image ambassadors.

Director of the China Film Department Tong Gang has been appointed Honorary Chairmen, and General Director Yin Fu and President Jérome Seydoux from Electric and Musical Industries Ltd. will take up the chairman roles.

The Sino-French Film Festival aims to promote Chinese films, enhance film exchange, improve cooperation between China and France, and motivate the film industry in the two countries.

The 1st Sino-French Film Festival was held successfully in 2011.
