Mexico City is recovering from an extreme case of Bieber fever.
Canadian popstar Justin Bieber gave a free concert last night in the city's historic Zocalo Square.
Thousands of teenage girls turned the grey and red stones of the plaza into a sea of purple, which is reportedly Bieber's favourite colour.
The pop sensation opened with his hit single "Baby, Baby, Baby" to thousands of girls screaming his name.
Over 5,000 police were on hand to make sure the predicted 200-thousand strong crowd didn't get too out of control and to protect the ancient square.
In May, 40 fans were injured at another free concert given by the singer in Oslo, Norway.
