The mystery surrounding the mother of Chinese actor Chun Kun's son took another turn this month when a micro blogger posted photographs which he claimed reveal the woman's identity.

On June 11, blogger "Chang Chun Guo Mao" wrote on his micro blog that the birth mother of Chen's son is a famous actress, a claim which sparked fevered discussion and enraged Chen.

This claim was followed by micro blog postings from a freelance writer calling himself "Beijing Dongyu", who wrote: "Zhou Xun is the mother of Chun Kun's 10-year-old son You You", and also posted photographs of Chen, Zhou Xun and You You playing together.

On June 23,"Beijing Dongyu" updated his micro blog, writing: "The reason why Chen Kun hides the identity of his son's mother is to protect Zhou Xun and You You."

Replying to the online rumors, Chen stated: "There have been a lot of rumors about me recently and this makes me unhappy. It is really tedious to be the target of such rumors."
