A seminar for Liu Xunfu's new book "Song of the Migrant Workers," published by the Writers Publishing House, took place in Beijing on October 25.

"Song of the Migrant Workers" is a documentary report written by Liu Xunfu and reflects the life, spirit and aspirations of China's migrant workers. This book fully demonstrates the current disparity between the development of urban and rural areas. In addition, it manages to represent the games between the union of the nation's migrant workers and modern urban civilization and emotionally extols the determined spirit demonstrated by migrant workers during a new period of socialist construction. Lastly, the work looks deep into the current spiritual journey of the Chinese nation and the survival strategy of its migrant workers.

The participating experts and scholars consider "Song of the Migrant Workers" to be an exceptional piece of work that pays attention to a social viewpoint and reflects China's modern core issues. The book not only demonstrates Liu Xunfu's deep affection towards migrant workers, but also shows the poet's awareness of the responsibility people have towards their country and nation.

Several of the seminar's notable attendees included He Jianming, vice-chairman of the Chinese Writers Association; Wang Jucai, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Writers Association; Li Dongheng, consultant with the Chinese Poetry Academy; Zheng Bonong, former Party member of the Chinese Writers Association; and over 80 other celebrities in the fields of literature and art.

The seminar was hosted by Senior Vice Chairman of the Chinese Reportage Association Huang Chuan. The event was jointly organized by the Chinese Reportage Association and the Creation and Research Department of the Chinese Writers Association and undertaken by Beijing Oriental Chinese Poetry and Literature Art Academy and Shanxi Jincheng MOTIAN Real Estate Group Co., Ltd.
