The 7th Chinese Young Generation Film Forum kicked off in Beijing on Sunday, October 28, 2012, Mtime.com reports.

Director Li Ruijun's film "Fly with the Crane" opened the forum.

The event, which will close on November 9, will include various seminars and its highlight - Chinese Young Generation Film Panorama will screen the projects made from 2011 to 2012. Among them are the Taiwan films "When Yesterday Comes", starring Chang Chen and Amber Kuo; "Woodman Movie Edition: War of BBS World", with Bolin Chen and Ivy Chen. Hong Kong indie film "Big Blue Lake" will make its debut appearance in Beijing.

The forum will also have a grand opening ceremony in Taipei on October 30.
