The first trailer of director Johnny To's suspense film "Blind Detective" was screened yesterday during a press conference in Hong Kong, chinesefilms.cn reports.

The director was accompanied by his leading actors Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng at the event.

Lau said his character is different from any of his former works in which he always appears as a hero. In "Blind Detective" he portrays a greedy detective who cheats others for only 10 yuan. Cheng plays a policewoman who helps him with the case.

To, Lau and Cheng are regarded as a golden team for successfully making movies such as "Needing You," "Love on a Diet" and "Yesterday Once More."

Along with the trailer, two posters were also released at the event.
