Universal Music has signed an artist merchandise collaboration deal with Chinese apparel brand Vancl, to use images from PSY's global smash hit "Gangnam Style."

The deal will allow Vancl, an Internet-based apparel retailer, to create new lines using the image of the South Korean superstar.

Vancl started in 2007 as a men's shirt e-retailer, and now its products cover men's wear, women's wear, children's wear, shoes, accessories, and cosmetics.

Psy became a global phenomenon with his hit song "Gangnam Style", which music video has been viewed more than 1.5 billion times on YouTube, and is the site's most watched video.

The singer's Chinese microblog on Sina Weibo has nearly 15 million followers.

He will release a new single called "Gentleman" on Saturday, April 13.
