The 4th Soong Ching Ling International Youth Exchange Camp kicked off in Beijing on Thursday with the participation of more than 400 children from 25 countries.
Themed "Come to China to make world friends," the camp organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation aims to build an international communication platform to help young people broaden their horizons.
During the week-long camp, students from other countries, including the United States, Thailand and Norway, will visit the Capital Museum and the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, and see an acrobatic performance in Beijing, the foundation said.
Participants will also travel to north China's Inner Mongolia, the ancient city of Xi'an in the northwest, or the eastern cities of Wuhu and Shanghai to experience the country's traditional culture and development.
