Two of Hollywood's most veteran action stars have joined hands in a prison-break movie.

Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger paired up to promote their new film, "Escape Plan", as it premiered in New York on Tuesday, October 15.

Stallone plays a structural security expert who usually works as an undercover inmate in order to discover flaws in prison design. This time however, he finds himself plotted against and trapped in the world's most secure prison, and he has to use his skills to escape and find the man behind the conspiracy, with the help of a fellow inmate, played by Schwarzenegger.

Mikael Hafstrom is the director. The supporting cast includes Jim Caviezel, Faran Tahir, Amy Ryan, Vincent D'Onofrio, and rapper 50 Cent.

The movie opens in North America this Friday. Its Chinese mainland release is slated for November 4.
