Dozens of Chinese fans lined the red carpet as three of Asia's most famous actors, Louis Koo, Nick Cheung and Sean Lau all signed autographs ahead of the screening.

Louis Koo said, "It's my first time in Rome, I didn't expect so many fans and of course I'm very happy. I hope I won't disappoint them, I hope they will appreciate the movie and although I will remain here for a very short time the impression that I got from this visit to Rome is fantastic."

In "The White Storm" actors Louis Koo, Nick Cheung and Sean Lau are part of a narcotics squad trying to hunt down a drug king-pin known as the "Eight-faced Buddha" based in Thailand.

The film shows how these three committed police officers are willing to risk their lives for each other but their loyalty is put to the test when their undercover operation goes awry in a remote region of Thailand and a fierce battle breaks out with the drug lord's private army, complete with helicopters and machine guns.

"The White Storm" will be released in Hong Kong and Singapore on December 5.
