Chinese film director Feng Xiaogang was in Beijing on Thursday to promote his upcoming comedy "Personal Tailor."

He was joined by actresses Bai Baihe and Li Xiaolu.

In the film Ge You plays a man from humble origins, who suddenly gains fortune with a patented invention. Trying to attract a woman from the upper class, he hires a trainer to help him improve his general etiquette. His choice to pursue such education ends up teaching him a real lesson.

In playing the roles Feng told the actors to forget their formal training and free themselves up. He said, "I asked the actors to remember three words: unrespectable, unreliable and unreasonable. Therefore, movie fans should not be that serious about facts in the film. Both truths and falsehoods can be found in it. In real life everybody gets hurt, audiences, actors and film makers alike. Therefore, you need to find an escape. It's well said in theme song of the film. Free yourself."

The film is to hit Chinese cinemas on December 19th.
