"Happy Days" the hit '50s based sitcom that ran for a decade in the United States, is about to get a new lease of life as a musical in London.

Staying true to the TV show the script is written by the series' original creator Garry Marshall and its creative consultant is Henry Winkler, who played the 'The Fonz'.

A still grateful Winkler spoke of why the show is still relevant today. "It was first created in the '50s for a reason, because then it doesn't have a date on it. You can tell stories with great moral without ever feeling like you're hit on the head and that was Garry Marshall. Garry Marshall is my mentor, my don, I kiss his ring. Everything that I have, I have because he said "yes" to me in 1973."

Baker, is due for release on January 15th, the 40th anniversary of the airing of the television show's first episode.
