Two of Taiwan's most popular celebrities Alec Su and Ariel Lin will star in the upcoming film "Sweet Alibis."

The film tells the story of Wang Zhiyi, played by Alec Su, who is a timid policeman with an acute sense of danger. Wang has a habit of shying away from dangerous situations until he becomes responsible for taking care of Gao Yiping, played by Ariel Lin. Gao is the daughter of a police commissioner who disobeys her father's order forbidding her from becoming a policewoman. The two are specifically arranged to handle easier jobs, to Wang's delight and Gao's dismay, causing the pair to argue often. However, while investigating the case of a dog's sudden death, the two inadvertantly become involved in a dangerous drug dealing case.

"I play a pitiful character. He is a policeman who has not realized his dreams and does not have much hope for life. I took some lessons to learn some basic police drills, like how to hold a gun and how to arrest a criminal, but everything I learned was pretty much useless because my character is so timid."

The film is set to hit Chinese screens on March 7th.
