Most of the publications on China have focused on its economic development and its domestic and international impact. However in recent years, more Chinese and foreign scholars have started to examine in greater detail the role of China's ruling Party - the Chinese Communist Party - in China's development and future.

"The Roadmap of the 18th CPC National Congress and the Chinese Dream," written in a question and answer format, has been published by the Foreign Language Press. It helps to explain China's plan for future development and the domestic and international ramifications of the Chinese Dream.

Just 21 days after the conclusion of the 18th CPC National Congress, President Xi Jinping mentioned the Chinese Dream for the first time. Since then, the concept has attracted wide interest, both at home and abroad.

Undoubtedly, there are different views and voices in the international community about the Chinese Dream. Some people recognize and appreciate the idea, while others fail to understand or have misinterpreted it, or even link the Chinese Dream with a pursuit of hegemony and building "peace under the rule of China."

Against this backdrop, the authors of the book Huang Huaguang and Luan Jianzhang introduce the latest CPC National Congress and the roadmap it outlined for China's future development, and provide theoretical and incisive interpretations and an elaboration of the Chinese Dream. In particular, the book answers crucial questions, for example how China should advance on its road of peaceful development, what role it will play as a new power, and whether it can really achieve win-win results with other countries?

This study of the relationship between the Chinese Dream and the 18th National Congress in this book helps readers to realize that the Chinese Dream is about a stronger and more prosperous China and its aim is to increase win-win cooperation and bring about a more harmonious world.
