Chinese actress Yang Mi gave birth to a baby girl on June 1, Children's Day, via Caesarean section in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong actor Hawick Lau, Yang's husband, announced the baby's arrival in his microblog.
"Welcome the new member of the Lau family! Mum had it tough! Both mother and daughter are safe! Gratitude! Wish all the kids and my little Nuomi a happy Children's day!" he posted.
The baby was named Nuomi because June 2, the day after her birth, is the Chinese Duanwu Festival when people eat a traditional food called Nuomi Zongzi, which is sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves.
Lau, 39, married Yang, 27, in January after two years of dating. Nuomi is the couple's first child.
