'Breaking Bad,' 'Modern Family,' 'Sherlock' win big

The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards wrapped up in Los Angeles, California.

And in the drama categories that saw strong titles going up against each other for honors, it was AMC's hit show "Breaking Bad" that dominated the genre with its final season.
The show's stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn won the awards for best lead actor, best supporting actor and best supporting actress in a drama, respectively.
Taking home five emmies, "Breaking Bad" clinched its second consecutive best drama series award.
Show creator Vince Gilligan expressed his gratitude when accepting the award with the rest of the cast.
"Thank you so much for this wonderful farewell to our show--you have been very kind to us indeed; and congratulations to all the other nominees who we are honored to stand amongst. This is indeed a wonderful time to be working in television."
"Breaking Bad's" biggest competition was seen in "True Detective," which earned the "best director in a drama" award for first-time nominee Cary Fukunaga.
One of the biggest surprise of the night, however, was the success of "Sherlock: His Last Vow," which earned seven emmy wins, more than any other title this year.
"Sherlock" stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman won lead and supporting actor in a movie or miniseries.
In the comedy category, longstanding winner "Modern Family" won it's fifth emmy for best comedy series, while "Veep" star Julia Louis-Dreyfus won "best actress in a comedy series" and "Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons took home his fourth emmy for his role in the series.
