China's Internet singing sensation Chopsticks Brothers have been criticized for their recent performance at MTV's American Music Awards.

The duo won the award for International Song of the Year at the AMA's earlier this week, and performed their online hit "Little Apple" on stage.

Their show was said to be live, but many fans have hit back at the group, saying they lip-synced, calling it a "shame."

Xiao Yang, from the Chopsticks Brothers, did not deny the rumor. He said "Little Apple" is a dance number, so they must dance and sing at the same time. If they did it live, they'd run out of breath, as they are not professional singers.

Also unfortunately for fans, they performed during the adverts of the AMA's, so their appearance was not even broadcast.
